Coaching is an invitation to action.

We all know the transactional steps to career transition: scroll through some postings, update your resume, and prepare for some interviews.

So why does career transition feel so difficult?

The mindset work of a career transition is the challenging part, and many people have no idea where to start. What do I really want to do? Is it too late to make a career pivot? How would I translate my skills into something new? At some point the pain of staying in your current job starts to outweigh the pain of creating change.

I take a design-thinking approach to coaching by helping you define your current reality and use an iterative process to prototype future possibilities. I help you define what success looks like, what values will guide your decisions, and how to work through the messy parts of making important changes. You will immerse yourself in a sneak peek of the future, challenge your assumptions, build on the elements that bring you energy, and scrap those that do not.

Clients tell me they experience:

  • Gaining a sense of control and choice in the process of career transition

  • Building confidence in telling my career story

  • Identifying actionable steps to create change

  • Shedding other people’s expectations of what is right for me

  • Examining assumptions about what I can or can’t do next

  • No longer wasting time looking at paths that are not a fit for me

  • Rediscovering what’s really important to me going forward
